By popular demand, we are now having a “Cowboy camp” for our younger
crowd! Campers must be between the ages of 10-12, have attended
the previous Natural Horsemanship Camp and/or have more horse experience
than the average camper. Campers will learn rope handling skills,
how to prepare their horse to work cattle, how to handle livestock
and get some “cow logic” and have fun doing ranch chores and learn
what it was like to be a Cowboy on the range in the Old West.
Camp begins at 9:00 AM and concludes at 1:00 PM. Campers should
bring a daily snack and drink plenty of water!. Time will be allotted
for drinks and a snack; the campers will have lunch at home. Riding
boots are required and they should bring their riding helmet if
they have one (if not, one will be provided). Long pants must be
worn during riding despite the heat, however, we will have opportunity
for swimming so towels and swimwear and/or a change of clothes (shorts)
should be packed as well.
