WHO IS KINDRED SPIRITS FARM??

Our main focus at Kindred Spirits Farm is to keep the horse in as natural a state as possible. This is all encompassing from how and what they are fed, to how they are turned out and handled, but most importantly, how they are trained. Here we focus on Parelli Natural Horsemanship, whether it is from our facility set up, to our in-house instruction, or the clinics we offer.

ABOUT OUR FACILITY

Our facility is geared towards helping and encouraging like-minded people in their dream of becoming perfect partners with their horse. Our groomed riding arena and round pen afford a safe and secure atmosphere for you and your horse to begin your Journey. The arena and playground have many items with which to play with while you begin to learn how to communicate on the horse's terms. This keeps things interesting and yet effective. We have a 15-acre playground which is fully equipped with all kinds of innovative obstacles to help deepen your relationship with your horse.
Once you have advanced, and both you and your horse have become more confident, there are groomed trails for your enjoyment and that will help you to further your horsemanship. From beginner to advanced, there are many trails to explore.

ABOUT OUR SUPPORT
To help you in your horsemanship Journey, Kindred Spirits Farm offers many avenues of support. We have instructors here at the farm and instructors that will travel to your location. All are Parelli advocates, active students, and have high goals of becoming Parelli Professionals. Click on any of their pictures below to learn more about them.

"Kim not only brings an incredible depth of knowledge as a teacher of natural horsemanship, she has an uncanny and inspiring understanding of the student's needs and limits. We could not be more thrilled to have our 14 year old daughter take lessons from her". - Jeff and Cindy Heffner

WHAT IS PARELLI NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP?

The Parelli Method of horse training teaches expertise and success with horses based on the way horses relate and communicate in their natural world – hence the term “natural horsemanship.”     The natural approach to horse training is effective with all horse breeds, all disciplines and all styles of riding including Western, dressage, jumping, cross country, drag hunting, polo, racing, or simply happy hacking. It’s been embraced worldwide by horsemen and women of all disciplines and skill levels, from first-time beginners to international competitors and Olympic medalists. Based on respect for and love of horses – and understanding horse nature and psychology – the Parelli method enables anyone at any level to have fun with horses and achieve amazing results...naturally. Parelli horse training avoids using force, fear, harsh bits or mechanical training aids in favor of love, language and leadership or, said another way: relationship, communication and trustworthiness. The Parelli method allows horse lovers at all levels and disciplines to achieve success without force, partnership without dominance, teamwork without fear, willingness without intimidation, and harmony without coercion. “Before I moved my 2 1/2 year old Morgan horse to Kindred Spirits Farm, I felt that I would never get anywhere with him.  In the past 1 1/2 years I have had much more success with him than I had ever imagined possible.  Kim helped me to assert my dominance over him and become a much better leader in our herd of 2! I love the way that Kim, Bruce, and family always treat each of the horses with the respect that they deserve.  They are truly faithful to the Parelli method!” – Andrea
